If you’re reading this, it means your little one is already throwing a private party in your belly (and probably on your bladder too, we get it 😅). I’m Emilie, and let me tell you why doing a maternity photoshoot in Grenoble is like having a real-life Instagram filter — but for REAL!
The magic of Grenoble’s light (aka our favourite natural filter)
You know those influencers who spend three hours trying to find THE perfect filter? We’ve got better! We have those PURE MAGIC moments when the sun plays hide and seek with the mountains, creating such insane light that even your latest iPhone gets jealous. And the morning mist? Don’t get me started! It’s as if Mother Nature herself decided to gift us her most beautiful soft-focus filter (and totally free, on top of that!).
The four seasons, Grenoble-style (spoiler: it’s not like Paris)
Winter? We’re freezing, but WOW, those photos with snow in the background! 🥶 (don’t worry, I’ve got cosy blankets and hot tea)
Spring? Flowers are bursting everywhere, it looks like a fairytale set (but in real life!)
Summer? Golden hour gives us photos so insane that even your friends will think they’re Photoshopped (promise, it’s 100% natural).
Autumn? Don’t get me started on autumn, I could talk about it for hours!
My Glass Studio (for when Mother Nature decides to be a diva)
Okay, sometimes it rains. Sometimes it’s -2°C. Sometimes the wind decides to style our hair like Beyoncé mid-concert… Okay, I’ll admit it, I love the wind, but not when it’s freezing. No panic! I’ve created a little corner of paradise where you can keep your bump nice and warm: my Glass Studio. It’s like shooting outdoors, but without the “I’m freezing my butt off” part! It’s not a super cosy, ultra-warm indoor studio either, it still has an outdoor feel, but it’s definitely much more comfortable.
For those thinking “but I’m not photogenic…”
STOP! 🛑 Let me tell you a secret: all moms-to-be have that little magical glow. Even those who think they’re about as photogenic as a sneezing panda. My superpower? Capturing that glow and making you shine like the future mama queen you truly are!
Insane photo spots (but totally safe, promise!)
I’ve scouted the most EPIC spots in the area. And when I say epic, I don’t mean taking you rock climbing at eight months pregnant (I value life, thank you very much). All my locations are accessible in “easy stroll” mode, because let’s be honest, pregnancy is not exactly the time to apply for Koh-Lanta.
Alizée’s story (or how we almost cried from so much beauty)
A few months ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Alizée’s maternity session around Grenoble. I had scouted a field especially for the occasion. Upstream, we chose the overall mood and outfits for this maternity shoot together. She decided to do this pregnancy session with her partner. We shot in autumn, and the light was absolutely stunning!
